About Evidium
Evidium's mission is to scale explanatory medical knowledge to support better decisions, research, and care.
We're building causal AI systems that learn and reason over how medical conditions evolve and how interventions can change outcomes. We work across the healthcare ecosystem - self-insured employers, stop-loss carriers, MGUs, health plans, hospitals/health systems and pharma - helping experts understand where patients are, how their conditions are changing, and which actions matter.
About the Role
As an Applied AI Architect, you turn a client's messy data reality into trustworthy intelligence. You'll own the technical relationship end to end, helping clients understand the value of Evidium's models and integrating those models to solve their most challenging problems.
This is a hybrid role by design. You'll spend part of your time in front of clients as their trusted advisor, part of it shaping what Evidium should build next, and part of it deep in the data - writing ingestion pipelines, cleaning and reconciling reports, and providing clients with custom modeling/analysis support.
You'll work closely with our data science, clinical, engineering, and business development teams, and you'll be the voice that carries what you learn on the ground back into the product.
This is a full-time role based in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
Client work
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing the relationship from onboarding through ongoing delivery.
- Run working sessions with clients to understand their data, their reporting cadence, and the decisions they're trying to make.
- Build trust by consistently delivering accurate, defensible results - and by being able to explain how you got them.
Product strategy
- Translate client conversations into a clear view of what they need now and what they could benefit from next, whether that's deeper analysis, custom modeling, or new reporting.
- Understand Evidium's platform and analytics well enough to know what we can offer, where the edges are, and when to pull in the broader team.
- Shape Evidium’s product strategy: Feed patterns you see across clients back to product and engineering so our standard tooling keeps improving and our roadmap reflects the clients’ need.
Data work
- Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines that take in the full range of client submissions and standardize them into a unified dataset.
- Run Evidium's models and analytics tools against standardized client data.
- Build quick, ad-hoc models and analyses when a client's question calls for work beyond our standard toolkit.
- Design and run validation checks at every step ensuring nothing erroneous reaches the clients
You may be a good fit if you have
- 3+ years of experience in analytics, data science, actuarial work, healthcare economics or consulting
- Strong hands-on data skills: you're comfortable in Python and its data ecosystem, and you can write clean, reliable pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and reconciling messy real-world data
- Comfort sitting in front of clients: you can lead a technical conversation, translate between business needs and data realities, and build lasting trust
- A product mindset: you naturally spot what a client needs next and can articulate what's worth building
What We Offer

- Direct impact on the development of healthcare's next-generation predictive infrastructure
- Opportunities to publish, co-author patents, and shaping the product strategy of Evidium
